Grassby Flooring has a rich history deeply rooted in the heart of England. Founded in 1956 by Mr. and Mrs. H Grassby, the company began its journey as a traditional wood flooring specialist, focusing on the intricate art of installing wood blocks, strips, and parquet flooring. In the 1960s, they embraced the emerging trend of mosaic flooring, adding another layer of craftsmanship to their repertoire. Reclaiming the beauty of old wood was also a core service, breathing new life into existing wooden floors by restoring them to their former glory.

Fueled by customer demand and the ever-evolving landscape of flooring, Grassby Flooring expanded its expertise to encompass a wider range of finishes. A Legacy of Dedication

The year 1970 saw a momentous change for the company with the passing of Mr. Grassby. His wife, Mrs. Grassby, continued to lead the business, guided by the skilled hand of long-standing employee Barry Leatherland, who became a Director/owner alongside her. Upon Mrs. Grassby's retirement, her son-in-law, Barry Leatherland's wife Lynda, joined the company as a Director, working in tandem with Secretary Mrs. Susan Allen to steer Grassby Flooring towards continued success.

The commitment to generational growth and nurturing internal talent was exemplified in 2006 when another long-standing employee, Mr. Mark Allen, was promoted to Director. This strategic move proved to be immensely successful, paving the way for further promotions and ensuring a bright future for Grassby Flooring.
